The Public Institution Elder-Care Home Sue Ryder Bitola, as an out-of-family social protection facility, provides care, 24-hour assistance and support from qualified staff, meals, clothing, and access to healthcare, based on the established needs of residents who are unable to live with their families or require out-of-family protection for other reasons. In addition to the basic protection defined in Article 94 of the Law on Social Protection, the services offered by the elder-care home also include social, cultural, and recreational activities tailored to the needs of the residents.

The activities of the institution include the accommodation of elderly, frail, and chronically ill individuals; adults and seniors who, due to various circumstances, find themselves away from their place of residence, without means of living, or without permanent housing.

services offered by the facility

The facility provides comprehensive and continuous care for its residents through accommodation, nutrition, assistance, and personal care, as well as health and social support. Its services also include cultural and recreational activities, work-related and productive activities, occupational therapy, and other programs tailored to the individual needs and abilities of residents, aimed at improving their quality of life.

Capacity and Facilities

The facility has a capacity of 150 beds and two pavilions with a total of 70 residential units, where residents are accommodated according to their health condition and gender. Additionally, the facility has its own kitchen, where three meals are prepared daily for each resident, as well as a fully equipped laundry that ensures regular maintenance of personal clothing, bedding, and other textiles used by both residents and staff.
